Does anyone else have smelly Metformin? As in rotting animal/fish or similar to flaky fish food you would feed your gold fish or beta fish?
I haven't been taking Metformin for very long, my dose was gradually increased to what it is now and may increase after my next dr's visit. In the beginning I used 500 g circular pills, sometimes cutting them in half depending on dosage. Now I take 850 g long oval pills.
It is this last prescription of 850 g pills that SMELL SO BAD! I didn't really notice the smell at first but it wasn't too long after I received my prescription I noticed the terrible smell!
I am finding other side effects with this dosage as well and I don't know if it is the dosage level or if it's related to this smelly pill. Embarrassing and probably TMI and would rather converse with someone over msg's - side effects are not just smell related but its effecting the overall sensitivity of female functions.
*sigh*

I don't notice an odor from mine, but there is a taste that I have to mask with a flavored drink (can't use plain water, )
It's apparently normal? http://www.webmd.com/diabetes/news/20100216/diabetes-drugs-big-catch-a-fishy-odor0
