Today I made my first fruit cobbler. I have not made it before as crumble is more of the British thing, I have made those. I used a light recipe, and also actually used less fruit as I only had 2 peaches, so threw in a handful of raspberries. Tbh I am not always super keen on fruit in desert. When I have pie or crumble I love the crumble part and leave the fruit. I used to make an apple crumble for my mum and then scoop off most of the topping for me lol. Anyway I digress. I had it with light cool whip, it came to under 200 cals and it was good. Next time no raspberries though, they are not my fave at all. Maybe strawberries, or pineapple hmmm. Anyway yay for having a yummy treat that wasnt heavy and was new and had some fruit lol.

Ooh I LOVE crumble! Cobbler, too, but crumble is what my mom always made
My favorite is mango peach crumble with a teensy bit of cayenne pepper.
I paid off my wedding dress today! It should be shipped within the week, and then I start the long process of alterations. My measurements from when I bought the dress: Bust: 48 1/2, Waist: 40, Hips: 52 Measurements now: 43 1/2, 35 1/2, 46 1/2!0 -
I feel like I should say congratulations Norah on paying off the wedding dress (makes it sound like you bought a new car) and for the changes in your measurements. But I hope the alterations wont cost an arm and a leg.0

Today I am happy that my "baby" is headed back to St. Louis in the morning. I don't think he's actually coming home until Monday (he's going to my mom's for the weekend) but he'll be closer. I can't believe how much I've missed him.0

Norah, regardless of the cost of the alterations, honey, that is such a WIN!! You will be rocking it all over your wedding day.
So excited to see pics. Once that dress fits you as well as the one you tried on for I think your mom's casual wedding, we will truly see you GLOW!!! So can't wait for that....
I'm far more a fan of crumble than cobbler. But I'm also the girl who prefers graham cracker crust to pie crust... I just don't like the doughy type crusts on sweet things. On pot pies or savory stuff, it's a little better, but I'm still a filling gal. That being said, if you haven't checked out the www.skinnytaste.com baked apples or whatever, they are awesome if you like apples. It is an apple cut in half with crumble topping in the center (I think the recipe serves four, using two apples), and by dropping out the flour, it comes out way low cal! A little cool whip or whatever on top and you have a super quick/simple awesome dessert...
Dee - doing a little happy dance for you!!0
