FIRST WEEK !

So, just to clarify, each week will run from Friday to Thursday night. The last week will be extended until Sunday, August 31st. I always like to ride the first day to kick off the challenge! I will be going after work today and will log my miles afterward.
Also, FYI-
I keep a total tally of my miles on Instagram and post every time I workout. I post on MFP, too, but without all the sweaty pics and creative hashtags haha. You're welcome to post on either social network (or both!!). I really value the group discussion on here and find the interaction to be quite helpful. Even if you find yourself not making as much progress as you'd like, don't shy away! We're all here to support and motivate each other :-)

8 miles today after driving all day. I didn't think I would have the energy once I got to the hotel but I sucked it up and did it. I'm proud of myself :-)0

Started out on a 10 mile ride this morning but only got 200 meters from home when the chain broke , bent the back mec into the back wheel which hooked on a spoke and brought me to a sudden stop, fortunately I wasn't going very fast so didn't fall off. So it will be Wednesday before my bike is fixed and I can start the challenge.

Up to 44 miles after a 23 mile ride on 8/1 and a 21 mile ride today. Took a family day yesterday, no riding!! Was hoping to make a 50 mile group ride this morning, but schedule and weather did not allow.0

I have only managed to get one ride in, so far, this week. It was 16.3 miles.

It is better than nothing. But, if I don't ride more often, there's no way I can make 150 miles.0 -
I managed to get some miles in this weekend. I even took a spill yesterday due to some clueless dog walkers using 15ft leads for their dogs. Fortunately there was no serious harm done to either me or my bike.

That sucks! I actually wiped out today if it makes you feel any better haha. I'm on the Outer Banks this week so I rented a cruiser bike today. I wasn't going to ride because I have the last 3 days..well I got excited and did anyway. It was pouring and I slipped. I'm okay but am gonna have 2 huge bruises. Got in 4.25 miles though!0 -
