Has anyone upgraded their FitBit and now have an unwanted FitBit Zip? My husband is thinking he would like to try one but I have the feeling he won't stick with it so hate to pay full price for one. Please message me - thanks!

Have you looked on ebay? There are a few for around $30.

I did buy a Zip for hubs ... and it didn't take. #1 son then adopted it ... and lost it.

I was interested enough in my son's activity (and he wanted to try it again) so I bought him one off ebay (I did get it for about $30). The problem with buying off ebay is you don't have the great Fitbit customer service. They are really good at replacing if there are any problems. They don't ask for the old, defective device back, and I do worry that some of these are ending up on ebay too. I think I'd spend the extra $20 to buy new (although the list price is $60, I can almost always find them for $50 on sale or something). Just me :)

I ended up with TWO extra Zips (blue? my son scoffed that I bought a blue one. I bought a black one, but he's a germaphobe and didn't want anything used, so I bought new after all). I ended up strapping the Zips on my two youngest boys (8 and 10) and it has been so fun to see them compare and compete for steps. I was thinking it would simply be interesting for me to see their activity, but it's actually really motivated them.
