8/8 Weigh-In - How did everyone do?

How did everyone do this week?

I'm down 4.4 pounds...but I think my starting weight may have been a bit high. I had been avoiding weighing myself for a while, so it was hard for me to know if the weight I saw on the scale was normal or maybe kind of water-weighty. I'm beginning to think it was the latter.

Oh well! Next week hopefully I'll keep up the downward trend, even if it's not such a dramatic loss!

I lost 1.3. Last few nights was harder at night so I am glad I lost anything!

My husband and I made a weekly challenge to help me. Every week I lose he will clean a box out in messy garage, and every week I gain I have to try on a bikini at store in bright lights.
  • Two pounds! I am going to go for 2.5 next week!

I stayed the same. That actually has been my problem for months. I seem to be maintaining around 137 to 139. I have lost a few inches so but I would like to see the scale go down too.

Love your challenge!!! You'll have that garage cleaned in no time! And be, happily, trying on bikinis!

I'm really annoyed - I GAINED a pound! I know it's probably normal fluctuation etc and it is time of month, but still, not impressed! Let's hope for a better result next week :)

I'm down 2lbs which is great as i was aiming for 1.5 a week... roll on next week! - Congrats to those already on the spreadsheet, there's some great losses on there already!!
  • I'm down a pound which is exciting, but considering my fitness pal has me at losing .7 pounds a week and my last weight in was Monday I can't help feel like it's a fluke. If it's not... then I guess it's welcome (back) to onederland!
  • I'm down 4.6 lbs. I think. My scale says something different every time I step on it (even if I step on it 2 times in a row.)

I have been working my butt off (literally) this week.

2.5 this week, which is fantastic as the aim was for 2lb. Hope I can keep it up.

Well done everyone, the spread sheet is looking great. :drinker:

I am happily down 3 lb. this week. Amazing considering how hungry I've been! But I've been walking my butt off too, so I guess it is working out. I was stuck for a long time, so it's really nice to see the scale move downward a bit! Here's hoping for more of the same for next week! Keep up the good work and good spirits everyone!!!

2.5 lbs lost, well more than I need to meet my goal, but it's okay as some weeks I may not lose as much and it will even out.

3.8 lbs. for me! But like someone else above, I had been boycotting the scales because I was getting caught up in the daily ups & downs and driving myself nuts. I stepped away from the scales for ~3 weeks (so in all fairness, my starting weight for this challenge was probably higher than it should have been). I tried to focus on how I felt and how my clothes felt before I weighed myself again. Looks like that game plan paid off! :o)

Down 4lbs. A little surprised, but excited. Took the kids to the circus tonight and cheated just a tad, but I'm not giving up this time. Get back on it tomorrow. Way to work mfp challegers.

3 pounds! I'm sure most of that is water, but I'll take it. This coming week is a travel week, it always so difficult to lose when I travel. We will see.

    Good morning challengers!!

I know I had water weight, so next week will be a true weight.

Let's strive to go onward and downward!!

I lost 2 pounds but it is likely water weight, as I have done little that would make 2 pounds go *poof*.

On the Friday I weighed in at 172.6 - so a loss of 3lbs! I'm not sure how to enter it on the spreadsheet though.

EDIT: Nevermind - figured it out finally!

1 1/2 lbs. I decided to change my metrics though because I want to make sure what I'm doing is healthy and sustainable so I think that will slow down.

Are there really people losing 5, 6 and 7 pounds in a week?

1.2 lbs for me which is pretty close to on target for where I want to be.

For those of you with spastic scales, make sure you have them on a flat, even floor without carpet. It is the only way to get consistent and accurate measurements. Carpet, even thin, can cause your scale to go nuts. You'll drive yourself crazy otherwise, and never have a good understanding of your weight- or your progress :)
