Hello ladies, I am new here, and would like to share my story. I was a little over weight when I got pregnant with our now 10 month old little girl. I tried very hard to eat right when I was pregnant so I wouldn't gain extra weight. I only gained 12 lbs during my pregnancy, when Ruby was born I weighed 15 lbs less than when I started. I felt awesome and was back in my pre pregnancy jeans in a week. I went for my 6 week post partum check up and decided to get on the depo shot for birth control. In the three months I was on the shot from hell I gained 60 lbs. I was devastated!!!! So now I am in a battle with my weight. For 6 months I have been watching what I eat, and walking 6 Miles a day with my dog and child. Still no luck! I went to see my doctor last week and got a full blood panel checking hormones, and thyroid. Everything came back normal, so my doctor put me on phentermine. I am praying this helps! !!! Thanks in advance for your support, and taking time to read my story.

  • Hey KSMO80! I'm so sorry about your struggle with your body weight. I too, have had some serious issues on a "plateau". The first time I was able to lose a ton of weight was before I got pregnant and Hydroxycut actually had ephederine in it. Of course it seems like good things never last and I did put the weight back on very slowly. Through my recent pregnancy I gained a wopping 75 pounds! I noticed that what works best is NOT weighing yourself. Just track absolutely everything you eat and all exercise. Walking every day is great but your body might need a boost of something else. Could you try swimming or an elliptical? Also, I started taking Garcinia Cambogia two weeks ago and I can definitely tell I have more energy, a flatter stomach and skinnier legs. I still have 25 pounds to go, so hang in there! I hope my advice helps, it's so difficult dealing with the changes in our body but you had an amazing little girl, and not everyone can do what you did--keep reminding yourself of that!

I should also mention that I am NOT breastfeeding and we are on formula-only. I wouldn't suggest anyone take supplements of any kind while nursing :o)
