Hi, My name is Megan and I am new to the group! I just wanted to introduce myself and let every one know I am here to get support from other women who are also struggling with PCO's. I am also here to provide support for others as well.
I have been struggling with PCO'S since I was a young teenager. My weight is the biggest issue as I am consistently trying to lose weight, only to lose a whole lot and then gain it all back again. This year is the year that I am finally putting myself into gear for good because I am graduating with my Masters degree and once I find my full time job, I really want to try for my first baby.
I am 26 years old and have never been pregnant before, nor tried to get pregnant, I have always used contraceptive practices because I still do have my period on a pretty regular basis. However, even though I have never tried to get pregnant, or have never slipped up when it comes to using preventative methods, I am really scared that my PCO's will inhibit my abilities to have a successful pregnancy someday. My main goal is to lose the 60 pounds that I have to lose in order to reach my goal weight for my current height (5'11) in hopes that my goal weight will be a sufficient range to ensure that I am healthy enough to become pregnant and carry a child full term.
I am also trying to lose weight simply because I want to look better and feel better. I want to ensure that I can be healthy and maintain my health in a way that will allow me to have a wonderful life with my fiance!
Is there anybody in the group who is trying to lose weight for the same reasons? or is there anybody in the group who has had success with pregnancy despite their PCOS struggles? I would love to hear your stories!

Hi Megan. My fertility success is in my ticker. Blessed with 2 beautiful babies. I lost 133 pounds to have them at 267. If you are having regular cycles without birth control that is a great first step. When you are ready to try to conceive there are ways to track your cycles for ovulation. Getting your body healthy is a great idea, but don't worry too much. If need be there are routes to help, and you are still young! I had mine at 37 and 39.
Congratulations on your Masters. That is tough work, I know. I am beginning my student teaching in about a month. What is your degree going to be in?
You are in a good place for support. Stick around.0 -
Thank you for the kind motivational words! They are greatly appreciated! I am currently working on my Masters in Library Science! I am planning to officially graduate in December!0
