I woke up too early today so I packed it off to the gym. I did 45 minutes on the recumbent bike and 45 minutes on the treadmill. It was a compromise for skipping the elliptical. And the best part is that it's over for the day!

Today I will be getting my burn in by deep cleaning and organizing my condo, not very exciting but it has to be done! Great post Leanna, this is just the kinda boost that I needed :drinker:

Argh! Hit the wrong button and deleted yesterday's post instead of editing it. Need MORE COFFEE.

Yesterday, - Resistance bands, Physical Therapy, and evening walk.

Today, I had hoped to get back to they gym, but that seems to be a dream fading. Will try to get walks on breaks today and maybe again this evening after it cools down a bit.

Today I did a very small amount...strolled around the stores a little. I need to go to the gym, hut it's storming and I drive a golf cart. Looks like a good time for some floor exercise here at the house.

  • i made it to the gym today and did a mile on the elliptical in 15:07. my goal is to do it in less than 15 minutes.

last thursday i did my first spinning class and loved it. i won't get to go tomorrow though, because it is my first day at my new job!

i plan to go back to the gym after work on friday. now that i have a job, i'm hoping to be able to schedule in the gym at least 3 days a week. i have 22 lbs to lose and the suckers are stuck on like glue!!!

I had too much coffee today...and a Spark energy drink. I have to work out just to slow my roll! lol

Today I think it will be eltical. It's pouring buckets of rain and the gym has big windows. I'm playing Bruno Mars on Pandora and I'm just gonna go and go and go...like the energizer bunny! ;)

Pilates yesterday. Pilates tomorrow. Walking the dog EVERY day! I aim for between 70-120 of what my Fitbit calls "Very active minutes"...sometimes this can take 70-120 minutes of dog walking...sometimes it takes longer, and the step count ranges most days between 16k and 20ish. But it is the very active minutes that I log these days, no matter how many hours I spend walking about.

I walked two miles this morning and will walk some more tomorrow. I'm not sure I want to jump into my Beachbody workouts right now.

Maelyn you're still recovering from an injury aren't you? It's good you're getting exercise, but don't do too much and delay your recovery.

This morning I woke up WAY too early for work. So I went to the gym before work. I didn't try to kill it at the gym, but I did spend 45 minutes on the bike. Best part was that by the time I got to work all the pressure to get in a workout was over for the day. I think I like those morning workouts much better.

Sorta of an injury. I got the brillant (sp) to walk 2.5 miles to and from a store without wearing socks in cheap, but cute, active wear shoes. I wore a blister into both ankles and absolutely rubbed about 1/4 inch into the back of each ankle. When I was inpatient they gave me antibiotic to flush the infection away (it had a yellow color to the scab). They are still healing, but I exercise in my apartment ditching the shoes for it. I do most of my workouts at home. I can't really spend much time outside as a new med has almost completely stopped my body from being able to sweat making it difficult to not overheat. Thank you for your concern. I really do appreciate it, makes me feel a bit less like a loner.

Please don't feel like a loner, Maelyn! I look forward to your posts. And I have so much respect for the journey you are on; the way you are able to offer support to the rest of us is encouraging.

I've been telling myself lies and undermining myself the past couple days. I think all the stress of having issues with the RV has taken it's toll. But part of this journey is learning how to cope when life throws a curve ball...and I haven't even been trying to cope...instead, I've been looking at it as an excuse to fail myself.

Well that crap can just stop right now! I have come too far to wuss out now!! I got so focused on trying to reach a certain weight by a specific time that I added to my stress. I forgot that it isn't about a deadline. It's about learning to live the rest of my life in a healthier way.

This evening after I get off work I will be going to the gym before I go home. I will work up a sweat and remind myself of my motto...NO EXCUSES!

I bought new runners today so I can walk without pain again! Love having a treadmill, and I am working at being able to walk 2 km again and once I can do that I will be doing a couch to 5k on the treadmill!

But for today I just did some slow walking and than working out my wallet buying new shoes!

Good for you! Getting new workout gear always makes me want to work harder. :)

I'd like to try the couch to 5k jogging, but I'm not sure my knees would allow it. When I'm lighter though.... ;)

I went for gentle stroll along seafront. Even that was painful due to bipolar low triggering fibromyalgia flare up and my right achillis heal tendon is playing up, been hurting since start of May. It does not like me walking on it but resting has not made it better so trying to gradually build up my activity a bit again. it is not agony or anything just a bit uncomfortable and does ease off if just keep going. It is nothing new i get random tendonitus in different bits of my body for no clear reason. Last year a tendon in my hand hurt for 8 months. a tendon at back of my knee has only just settled down now after flaring up at start of year. Doctor can never find a reason and just says take a pain killer. These things always resolve eventually and I am sure the leg and feet ones would benefit from a lighter load.
Part of me would love to get very active but experience has taught me it does not take much for my tendons to get agrivated. My daily burns are more of a simmer but it all helps and just going for a gentle walk made me feel I had done something productive.

Yikes persistent sounds like you have a lot to work through, your doctor may say take pain meds but have you tried the physio therapist? They may be able to help more!!

LeAnna, from what I am reading basically it says if your starting out and you can run slower your running to fast!!! My kind of work out take it as easy as possible till I build up time and strength! I can jog for like 1 minute!!!

Today I did another slow walk and worked out my wallet again, going to Minnesota tomorrow and had to pre-shop

I am In UK 5:34 am here but have been having sleep issues along with other issues. I am hoping if I just stay up I will stand a chance of being able to sleep Friday night. I get a 5 min slot if book appoinment to see my NHS GP. The NHS is great but if you have a lot of different issues they do resist getting in to depth with any of them unless life threatening. My list of ailments is way too long and none of them is going to iminently kill me. I think i just need a health revolution to get my body playing nice again. Eating good food and taking better care of myself is a step in that direction.

I am all in favour of taking things gently too, won't catch me jogging or running any time soon, a walk or swim is what I can manage. Hope you have a good trip.

My daily burn today was awfully intense, but it went on and on...
We spent the day moving yet again. This time were staying put!! We washed our ATV and both scooters before loading them into the cargo trailer. I hauled several 20# buckets of " rough" to the trailer as well. Rough is what you call rocks that have not yet bee cut into slabs.
We also moved nearly all our belonging out of the park model rental and back into the RV. But first I used Murphy's oil soap to clean all the woodwork and floors in thr RV. We started working at about 9:00 this morning and didn't finish until nearly 9:00 tonight.
We still have a few odds and ends to sort out, pack and move, but tomorrow will be Marks day to rest. He has to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. Monday for his hernia operation. After that I should have a solid month with all kinds of time to work out while he's recuperating.
Say a prayer things go well on Monday...with his lung disease I get scared thinking about him having any medical procedures.

I did lots of walking over an hour-and-a-half. I jogged the entire time of "The Eye of the Tiger." I did a bit of Yoga and meditation with some calisthenics in there (55 jumping jacks, 10 sit-ups). I have kept up on the burn and flushing my system of excess water through some infused water I am drinking.

@Leanna - I will keep him in my prayers. I understand the concern. My grandmother needs two operations for a tumor on her parathyroid and a hernia. Because her lungs are so bad no one is willing to put her under to do them.

This weekend I walked a mile each way to the grocery store from my house, one way carrying groceries! And today I am getting back to the gym  Time to get serious!

Maelyn, thank you. Marks surgery went well and we're back home again. He's slept almost continually since yesterday morning. I think he's just so relieved it's over; I know he had to be more afraid than he let on.
