    What's the point in doing an exercise that lowers your cholesterol, reduces stress, improves your endurance, and helps you maintain a healthy weight? If you can't run a 2 hour marathon then go home and throw a Frisbee with your dog.

    Good post. Blog was a bit long but I get the points. For me, as a newish runner, I have found that I can and have learned more about running from people over 50 than I have from people my own age (current mfp friends excluded :)). They just offer a perspective that I think gets lost among this new "running craze". And I don't understand why anyone would want to run 80+ mpw...no matter how old you are lol.
