Calories question

Options
If I put sedentary or lightly active in mfp I get 1200 calories a day. I then have a fitbit which I get an adjustment for but since this adjustment is based on what fitbit predicts I will burn in a day if I have been active during the day and then not so active at night (which is normal for me) my adjustment in mfp can be decreased making it hard to determine how many calories I should eat. I had a look at fitbit and it estimates my daily burn to be 1958 (based on my previous data) so would it be okay if I just ate that minus 500 calories rather then relying on the adjustments every day.
