I have come to a stand still. So, I have been advised to go to another method. I am a bit frustrated. Maybe I should just quit WW.

If you lost that 18 pounds with WW, I'd just wait and not quit yet. Try adding a grapefruit every day or a grapefruit juice. Every week before my once a week weigh in, that is what I did. It worked most of the time.
  • I was stuck for 5 weeks. I got really discouraged, but after talking to my leader I realized that I was not moving as much as I thought I was. I put on a pedometer and aimed for 10,000 steps a day in addition to weight training 3 times a week. The scale started moving down again after that. Also my leader recommends no more than 2 servings of fruit a day and to count a point for every serving of fruit over that.

i too was at a plateau for 6 weeks, they told me to try different things, maybe the milk, water, etc, etc, so what i did was start logging on my fitness pal, and followed the calorie quota they gave me for the day, well after 6 weeks of nothing, i weighed in last week and lost 3 pounds!!!!! I don't think WW really works, they don't want you to really loose the weight so you keep paying. i haven't logged into WW for 2 week now.

Those "no points" fruits have calories, and if you eat too much of them you will not lose weight. An average sized apple has close to 100 calories, for example. A medium banana is about 110. Those calories can add up fast!

I'm a new member here...(my first post!) and I wanted to chime in. I also came to a standstill with the points and I just switched over to calories--which is why I'm here on MFP. I still "do" WW in that I go to meetings and weigh ins and use points as sort of a guide when choosing food. But, right now, I'm counting calories rather than points.

I am considering, on the WW side of things, switching over to simply filling yet still counting points here. I've found that eating the right foods is really my challenge and that might help. I haven't don't that yet because I have some, um, "disagreements" with the SF plan, such as the emphasis on Fat Free dairy, so I may either tweak things just a bit or just track my dairy (which really isn't that much) as non SF food.

I joined we recently, to go to meetings, mainly as a way of making myself accountable. Can't tell you if I'm losing as its my first week, but I certainly feel it. I eat veg instead of the zero point fruit as I suspended c it would be easy to eatntoo many Cal's. I'm on 27 points, wwhich seems to be about 1300 Cal's a day. It's making me think about food differently. I track on fitness pal as well a the moment. It's interesting. As I think I was eating lots of calories from so called good fats before.

I am a member of weight watchers, my weigh in day is a Saturday morning. I love the group because they are supportive and have lots of ideas. I am trying to eat more veg. I eat fruit mostly bananas, grapes berries etc. I am using this app because it identifies the actual calories in the food I am eating. I hope that by keping track of the calories that I consume will help me lose weight instead of yo yoing all the time. Hope to use some of the recipes from here. Good Luck everyone.
