No medal this weekend, but I did earn these patches completing a GORUCK Challenge honoring Special Forces Ssg Rob Pirelli, who was KIA in Iraq.

Warrior Dash this past Saturday. One medal was given to me for the log I carried through the course. We decided it was too easy, so everyone I was with grabbed something. I got a log, a few people grabbed cinderblocks, someone rocked a set of chains. Go big or go home, right?

I had an actual log. Named Log. Remember the song?
"What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs
Rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What's great for a snack and fits on your back?
It's Log, Log, Log!
It's Log, Log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's Log, Log, it's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log! You're gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log! Everyone needs a Log!"

NJ Spartan Super yesterday, and Saturday I did the Boston Marathon route with a 40 pound weighted ruck for Carry the Fallen, a suicide awareness/prevention charity for veterans. Busy weekend!0 -

I didn't get to run the Battlefrog 15k this weekend, partially due to injury and partially due to working the event instead. I did do the 1 miler with the kids, and I was out on the course all day though. On Sunday I ran the Tunnel 2 Towers 5k (adrenaline is a pretty powerful drug!). While there were no medals for that, it's fitting that my medal for 11 on the 11th (11 mile run for Sept. 11th) arrived today.

Shutup! That's after I resized it!
Your medals are Canadian and barely count!
You're just jealous of the World Championship Beast medal, Christine, Annie and I have!0 -

He ain't wrong. But I'll be happy to do mine in Carolina where **** is warm. I'm done racing in cold weather. Neevverrr again.
I was telling Dan how one year we need to do the Beast right. Score a rental cabin nearby, make a few days of it. Rest up in a hot tub instead of long drives post race. Ahhh the good life.
Agreed, I want to do a TM with the group next year, Spartans aren't as fun when doing it with people of varying fitness levels, TM on the other hand would be fun!0 -

Next year it is going to be harder to get a World Champ medal, at least for me. Not going to be in Killington next year. Still a Beast there, but WC likely to be in Vail, from what I hear.0

My 2014 collection so far now, I am only signed up for 4 more that give medals this year.
