Meditation
Thursday, Ordinary 21, Proper 16 will be simplified today as I am going into the hospital for testing. Nothing to worry about, routine, but long lasting.
Here are the Scriptures to read and study.
The Psalmist David, gave a great example of how we should prepare for worship at church or at any time during the day.
The Old Testament lesson listed the blessings of Jacob upon his sons. What if parents today spoke and printed ‘blessings’ for their children? It shifts the focus, doesn’t it?
The New Testament lesson scolded the new Christians for taking law suits to each other instead of working things out. As Christians, we should not be so divisive and unable to work things out. That reflects badly on us—not God. We are not listening to God when we cannot work things out.
If we put things on God’s altar and asked for guidance in solving issues, just thing where we might be?
