Does anyone know if we can drink ICE zero calorie flavored water after surgery? I know it says it is "sparkling" but it doesn't seem carbonated like pop is. (Yes, I'm from MN and call soda "pop") I just tried a couple of flavors today and I like it so I'm hoping it could be an alternative to pop for me.

Most people have a very hard time with any level of carbonation after surgery. I think there are a few people on here that will bleed out the carbonation from their favorite drinks as a treat. Maybe you can use the ICE drinks before surgery to slowly wean yourself off of pop? I switched to Diet snapple ice tea drinks and some of the non carbonated vitamin waters.

I shake all the fizz out of mine. Or take a warm one and pour it over ice. They have the same carbonation as soda.

Thanks for the advice. I will try a snapple diet ice tea and will try shaking the fizz out of the ICE drink. I really like the flavor of the ICE drinks so hopefully it won't matter if there is no fizz.

I drink it, but it is carbonatedand we are not supposed to drink carbonation because carbonation gas expands when ingested and we have no expansion left. It can be uncomfortable especially in the beginning when it's hard to burp. I am three years out and I shake the carbonation out of it before I drink.
