Hi Girls and Friends, well, I am on day 3 of my 7 day shred...I do not like the carbs over protein, but I am going to give this my best shot, as it is suppose to jump start the metabolism. I am back up to par on my elliptical and hope to put in my 3 mile walk in the a.m. If I keep up the good work (even tho I was bad, for more than a few days) I will get my elliptical up to an hour, this month...in 10 min. increments. That will be a big win. I did have a tough week, as I do not know if I am going on vaca now or when if I do....I am not the carefree drop everything and go girl that I used to be, so I am not happy with the no plan. But what can I say when I am going with my mom and bro and they are calling the shots. Just bummed cause I had planned for so long to go next week after, labor day. Now, don't know if then or week after....or??? Well, I will just look at it like, MORE time to stay on diet and exercise and get used to living this way...vaca or not! :indifferent:

So hard to stay on diets while on vacation. I usually can do it. If I eat out, most restaurants will cook things the way you ask them to. This dieting thing is a daily challenge. There is always some reason for me to stray. I need to focus much more! I've been very lax and not thinking before I indulge. I am going to get back to my exercise routine starting today, so I will be set for work. If I don't exercise first thing in the morning, it just doesn't happen. Hangs over my head all day and just annoys me. I've been cooking and baking all weekend to get ready for my husband's brother and wife. I am so excited to see them! They live so far away and we rarely get together. The flight alone is about 1500 each! Thankfully, my brother in law had a long career in travel and has some connections for good deals. It is early and I'm babbling here. Sorry. Have a wonderful week! DJ, bet you are killin it on that elliptical!!0

I should not do too bad eating on vacation, since will be at the coast all I will think about is seafood. Not too much of a sweets person, so just have to watch out for the salty crispy fried everything. I do really well for extended periods of time then I fall off the diet wagon and just have at it for about 3 days, gain weight...see sawing. If I was baking like you Jan, and had company, all would be lost...but then if I paid 1500 each to get somewhere, I couldn't afford to eat out. Today I feel more like the elliptical is killin me. WHINE anybody...lol0
