Im so confused. According to the freedieting.com calculator for lactating, it says I can eat 1789 calories a day in order to lose weight gradually. Now what I'm confused about it net vs gross calories. Do I eat 1789 total calories or do I eat back my bfing and exercise calories too? And also, I wear my baby a lot. Like most of the day. Which I know carrying an almost 10 pound baby burns more than not lol so how would I account for that? Because let me tell you, I have never felt this kind if hunger in my life.

Breast feeding hunger is it's own special insatiable horror. But yes you can eat back your breast feeding calories and your exercise calories. Just be careful as MFP is well known for over-estimating calories burned during exercise, so maybe eat back half or so.

So eat your 1789 (which includes your BF allowance) + half to all your exercise calories. The scale will soon tell you if you're doing it right - if you're losing too fast, eat a little more, if you're losing too slowly, drop your calories by 100 a day. Good luck.
