Today I found a smartwatch app for my Samsung Gear 2 (Gear 2 Fit) that syncs the "free" app to the watch.
It pulls HR data & the pedometer data (for all past days you have the pedometer app running). The pedometer data is strange (walked 3.7 miles in 5:37:14) so if you have multiple device linked to MFP, the data will log strange (I have Fitbit & Endo, so had to delete something). You have to use the free app (I had the PRO) but it's nice - the watch app can be tweaked to show different settings. I have it showing activity, duration, dist, speed, cal, pace & HR. You do have to have it synced to the phone (wouldn't work w/out phone in range - at least for the GPS).
