Swords?

Anyone have any sweet tips on how to make swords? I'm looking at making Roronoa Zoro's swords from One Piece but I'm not sure how to make them.. I want them to be as perfect as I can make them too.

    Try with Worbla, I heard a lot of good things about it. A famous cosplayer has a facebook page where she posts tips, and wrote a book on prop making. https://www.facebook.com/KamuiCos

    you can shape pvc pipe with heat and then add worbla and paint. Or you can carve the entire sword from a large block of black, stiff foam and then paint it. Most cons will only allow foam!
