I'm thinking of going down to 3x5 to train for the couple of obstacle mud runs I'm doing these next couple months and going on a (hopefully) kind of aggressive cut. After that I'm hoping to go BACK to 5x5, anyone done it?

not me...sorry.
I went from 5x5 to 3x5 and loved 3x5...now switching to Wendlers 5/3/1
I don't see why you couldn't but keep in mind you should be able to increase your weights on 3x5 faster than 5x5.0 -
Yeah I figured I'd probably deload by a bit while switching back to 5x5.0

Just wondering how this worked for you. I am training for a half marathon and doing stronglifts. Now that my squats are getting up there in weight, I've found that my legs are very tired on my run days. I'm slower and just feel exhausted. I've been considering dropping my squats to 3x5 or sticking with 5x5 but dropping the weight while I'm training. Anything you could share would be appreciated.0
