Superbutter - Original Creamy Premium Seed Butter.
My sister brought home a jar of this from Costco the other day. It's a more natural form of peanut butter but is made with seeds instead of peanuts.
The caloric content is similar to low fat peanut butter. Last night I had 0.8 of a TBSP. and here is the breakdown for that amount:
Calories: 72
Carbs: 2
Fat: 6
Protein: 3
Fiber: 1
Sugar 1
It tastes a lot like crushed up sesame seeds. I found it very tasteful but I think I would have to be very careful with not getting carried away with having too much. Nice that it has such low carbs and 3 grams of protein.
I think it's a healthier alternative to peanut butter and very tasteful.
I'm in Canada and don't have a Costco membership yet so perhaps many of you know about this product. I could see putting it in a shake too.
The family member who introduced my sister to this product eats extremely holistically & makes almost everything from scratch after growing a lot of her produce.
Thought I would share this product idea in case it appeals to anyone.
