My computer was down for the majority of the late afternoon/ evening. The only thing I could think of was. "Oh no, I won't be able to log onto MFP and how am I going to keep track of my calories and fitness" Glad I got it working!!!

Hey my friend. Oxymoron that we are both experiencing computer problems at the same time. So glad to hear that yours is up and running. I've got an appt. at the Apple Store to take my iMac in on Tuesday. I'm really hoping that it is fixable. I can't even turn it on & when I do plug it in it starts letting off a series of 3 loud alert beeps. It's not quite 5 years old so I hope it can be fixed. I have an iPhone but not used to tracking on it so I am not sure how to scan items which saves a lot of time.
It's been very helpful that my sister who just moved in is letting me use her laptop. I go through major withdrawal without a computer. :grumble:
I too was starting to panic yesterday really missing being able to read all the posts as I actually had the time to read them. lol.
Adjusting to the laptop took me awhile as I haven't used Windows in a long time & I wasn't familiar with a laptop.
We are lost without our devices. lol. :noway:

I bought my IPad last summer when I had to travel to South Carolina because I didn't want to try and track my calories and protein on paper. I don't have an IPhone either, so I was back to real low tech basics without the IPad. I totally get how hard it is to go from this to writing it all down! I really depend on MFP's calorie tracking to stay on track.

I use both my laptop and my phone for logging (I use the Android app). I don't know what I would do without one of them!

I use my Mac for logging my calories and blogging on MFP. (Yeah, it only required a simple fix today).
I also write it down in a spiral bound notebook just to keep it all handy and to bring to my appts. with the Dietician.
I really would like to master the AP on my iPhone but I find the screen so small and haven't mastered scanning things with the phone yet. I'm sure once I've figured that out I might want to use the iPhone more.
In the meantime, I still like my old fashioned Desktop iMac with a larger screen and an actual keypad.

Are you aware that you can print out the diary (either food or exercise or both)? I found it very useful to take to appointments with the Nutritionist. The "View Full Report (Printable)" green button at the bottom of the food entry screen takes you to a printable report that you can customize for food, exercise, etc.
