September is here, Autumn is coming or perhaps already here. I saw Halloween chocolate and candy in the store yesterday when I went grocery shopping. Curses! 4 months left of 2014. I reallllly want to get to 200 or close to it, it is going to be hard though and despite wanting that achievement I am feeling the opposite of motivation and love for all this right now!
Hope everyone has a nice last day of their long weekend x

Wow.. the start of September. I see signs in the stores already of fall coming. I have noticed one or two trees showing signs of turning. This is a crazy time of year to me in the USA. It seems to me that summer officially stops this weekend, Halloween stuff starts appearing before my official summer ends LOL. Halloween runs into Thanksgiving that runs into a Christmas that starts way too soon.. and after that all we have is the nasty winter to go before spring begins again.
And this holiday will be different for me as it seems I will have surgery first and will probably be on mostly liquids to begin with.
I do love the fall though, I love the colors, the milder temperatures, the starting to wrap up in warmer clothes, the slight chill in the air, I just wish winter didn't follow it.
I have been watching lots of lap band surgery videos on You Tube and came to the conclusion I needed a radical rethink of my current ways. I measured breakfast and ate it slowly and had a banana for a snack. I went to the grocery store yesterday and bought a ton of produce so there is something healthy in the house and I am basing my diet around the protein and produce that will become so much a part of my life after.
Anyone have any good weight losses to report? Struggles to get off your chest? Anything we can help with?0 -
I love fall since the temperatures cool down a little but aren't cold yet.
My husband and I started this journey together. At times that is a really great thing. More than once one of us has pushed the other to keep going when it doesn't seem like the scale is moving. Other times like the last few days I just really want to strangle him. He has lost more than me and continues to consistently lose more than me. He is very quick to let me know that it is just that he has more to lose...not really since our bmi's are almost the exact same. I eat less, exercise more and the scale is slowly creeping up instead of down while he is losing 2-3 lbs a week.0 -
I lost 3lb since last weigh in so I am happy. The leaves are starting to fall here in England and been a grey wet day. It does feel like summer is over. I hate grey cold weather but I aim to have a leaner healthier body to reveal from under my winter jumpers next spring. Must stay determined and not give in too much to seasonal over indulgencies. Warm soups, roasted veg, cosy jumpers, maybe less sweating. All good autumn winter things that won't blow the weight loss. Must focus on being able to enjoy next summer more comfortably in slimmer body :flowerforyou:0

Sept is my anniversary month!:flowerforyou: 30 years for me and my hubby coming up on the 28th. Hope to have lost a few more pounds by then and treat myself to a pretty new dress for a romantic anniversary weekend :blushing: I'm a Springtime girl myself, so not looking forward to any approaching cold weather. Fall months mean cool weather soon. But here in the South I can still count on Sept to be warm and sunny! :glasses:0

It was a fairly good weekend, despite sleeping through an appointment with a client this morning (whoops). I made a post about it in the group form. The weight loss has been good and I finally reached my 20% goal.. While I am a fan of fall I will miss this weather for exercising. I have gotten use to working out in this heat and this colder weather will make things harder.0

Here in Oklahoma, Halloween goodies have been out already for weeks. I'm sure if I looked around, Christmas stuff is already out some places (yes, this means you Hobby Lobby who thinks Christmas in July means STARTING THEN....)
I sincerely cannot get my butt in gear to get back to tracking a dadgum thing...my scale was going down for a bit, but now it's on a circuit. Up three, down three...still hovering around 250 though. Frustrating. But understandable given the fact I'm not tracking food, struggling daily with my water (though getting fresh bottles again really has helped), binging on the sweet treats we allowed ourselves to buy since we had a little extra money, not walking (cannot WAIT for this heat to leave), not working out (too stressed to manage much of anything), and pretty much just giving up for the time being... I do not know what will jolt me, but something will have to do so soon...
Patrick, I'm opposite you - I would rather workout in 20 degree weather than 100 degree weather. Something about the cold invigorates me! I wish spring and fall lasted longer here.... We get maybe 3 weeks tops each season. Looking for a cut in the temp and/or humidity. One or the other, and I can hack it... LOL0
