September is Prostate Cancer Awareness month. Guys please get checked. It is a simple blood test to get your PSA level. You might have to ask for it to be done since they have decided not to do the check on people under age 50. Ladies please insist that the men in your lives (boyfriend, husband, dad, son, grandfathers) get checked. I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at the age of 45 in 2011 because I had my annual physical. I am 48 now so had they waited to do the PSA check until I was 50 I very well may not be around. I have had surgery and I have also been through radiation. My PSA level at my last check was .002. I am almost to an undetectable level. That is my goal.

    What operation did you have?I’ve just been diagnosed with it.
