So my gym time was cut short today. I might try to go later since my friend cancelled for tonight. Anyways, I got 6 miles in!

I wasn't sure when the week started.
My goal was 50, but I'm going to be brave and double that. Now that I've had a few rides on the new bike, I'm not so scared, life is good!

Interesting fact for me. I've been wearing a HRM to measure how I am doing. Today I decided to keep my Heart rate lower - blow 150 on my way back up the hill from work. I ended up taking my time, not being out of breath very much and still making it back in the same time as I would if I had gone really fast and tired myself out :-) Had enough steam to go down the gym afterwards on the cross training for a while. The tortoise that beat the hare was right :-)0

Everyone told me it would happen, and today it did, I couldn't click out of my pedals and fell. Lol, my reaction was to put my foot down to stop the fall, and, of course my feet stayed attached to the pedals. I wasn't going fast or anything, no injuries, maybe just a bruised ego. I live in a small town, hope it's not in next weeks local paper.:laugh:0 -

10.5 today. I did something new, I tried reading while biking indoors. It made me frustrated since I was on the bike for over an hr and did half as much. Anyone have any tips for this kind of multitasking?

8 miles today! I'm gonna have to weigh myself again because my Polar watch doesn't seem to be monitoring my heart rate right. I got pretty frustrated and it through off my workout a bit. Anyway, let's hope I lost some more weight! Happy Friday everyone :-D

So it freaking SNOWED here last night, and it's supposed to be below freezing tonight too Ugh, not ready for winter yet but that's life at 7200 feet. Hoping to get out for a nice ride this weekend though, once it warms back up.0

So it freaking SNOWED here last night, and it's supposed to be below freezing tonight too Ugh, not ready for winter yet but that's life at 7200 feet. Hoping to get out for a nice ride this weekend though, once it warms back up.
Wow, where are you, Colorado? Do you ride all winter? I thought it was a cold ride today at 48, I've got to figure out how to dress better for winter riding, I usually put the bike away when the snow flies. Hoping to keep riding this winter, if I don't wimp out.

Hi all,
I had a quiet first week but have just joined so better post it now! I'm aiming for 50 miles this month, which is mostly going to be commuting to school and the gym but it all counts eh? Family ride tomorrow with two of our boys so that'll be a 10 mile ride. But for now here's how I'm doing!

Hey there! I'm in Wyoming. Usually we don't get snow THIS early but it's been a chilly summer. I definitely don't ride in the winter... Have never gotten into snow biking and all our trails / roads are well covered in snow and ice. I transition into x-c and tele skiing0 -
