If you end up throwing up everything you ate throughout the day, do you still count those calories? I caved yesterday and ate a grilled cheese sandwhich (non Gluten free).... Needless to say I am paying for it today! I know better, but feeding a family of 7 and when you are the only one having to go gluten free, you have moments like that. I was out of gluten free bread and our little town does not carry gluten free products..... We only have a dollar store.

I'd just eat hat you can, and start fresh tomorrow. Don't worry about logging today.

And remember this day the next time you decide you want a grilled cheese. Sometimes we just have to miss out.

I woudn't worry about logging. Usually the day after all I can stand to look at is ginger ale anyway. I hope you feel better soon.
  • Yeah, I would log just because I'd want the data on what I couldn't keep down (and if anything made it worse, for example, if I just got glutened my ability to tolerate dairy goes down).

Also, I know we're not 80 years old yet, but Ensure and Boost. They have them at every pharmacy and even some Family Dollar stores and such.

Seriously. They are gluten free, can be used as a meal replacement, you can have it cold or room temperature. I carry a bottle with me when I'm out or I think that I may not have access to GF foods because I never want to be in the position of making the choice between being starving or having to contaminate myself.

I go with the high-protein versions, but any of them will do. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!

Did not know that! I finally made me some breakfast food.... Really wanted some comfort food like Ramon noodles! :) this whole throwing up is a new thing for me.... I still feel I can "cheat" every now and then. Usually I just end up cramping... I can handle that.... The whole knife in the gut feeling and the throwing up not so much! I have my days where I feel like it's "not fair" but I have only been dealing with this for a little under a year. I just recently met a young man with celiac who is 19 workin at a fast food restaurant and living on his own with no family. Knowing his plight is worse than mine and that I can atleast cook and afford gluten free foods, has me pulling up my big girl panties! I am now doubling my meals so I can send him some left overs. It gives a little meaning to why I have this issue!
