I saw these in the store this morning:

High protein fruit gummies, 200 cal, 20g protein per pack. I didn't buy any, but they look intriguing and possibly good for early post-surgery. I saw them in 7-11, but they claim they will be in major stores.
Has anyone tried or seen these?

Haven't seen them yet up here, however I found the nutritional info on them and the 16g of sugar per serving would stop me from even considering them. Thank you for posting though, it's always interesting to see what's out there.0

I have them. I cant eat more than 3-5 at one sitting. So, if I want something sweet, I take one or two. Its probably .00000005 grams of protein, but I guess it is better than nothing lol0

Pretty sure the sugar would cause dumping syndrome, just like the time I ate a Frikkin Larabar.0

I was very excited to find the Vitafusion Gummy Multivitamins and D3 at the Target in Canada last month. I was quite disappointed at my pre-op diet teaching not to take them in early recovery by my Dietician. She said that that they can get stuck. Since I have 5 months worth, I started taking them now to use some of them up and hope to use them in the long run after the initial healing.
Has anyone else heard this?
I guess I will have to get an old fashioned pill crusher for my regular Multivitamin and Vitamin D for the first while.0 -
My surgeon told us that gummed of all kinds are off limits. They have had people get them stuck in the opening of their stomach and have to have surgery to remove the gummy. They also said that the vitamins aren't as strong in the gummed as they are in pill/liquid form.0
