Thinking of buying a fitbit one for sleeping.

I do not have sleep disorders but I fall asleep rather late, and would wish to find out my chronotype.

How accurate do you reckon your fitbit one is for sleeping? I read the one is better than the flex so I would buy a one if I do.

I might get some heat for saying this on a fitbit forum, but from my research normal activity trackers just aren't quite good enough for tracking sleep in a useful way, other than to keep track of the time you went to bed and woke up. All they have is a 3-axis accelerometer that measure your movement, but movement does not correlate with sleep phase (deep sleep/light sleep/REM).

If you're looking for something that tracks your sleep more accurately, this one seems better (it also measures skin temperature, perspiration and heartbeat): http://www.mybasis.com/

    Thanks for your reply!

I do not really need to know if I am having a deep sleep or rem sleep, I only need to know when do I aproximately fall asleep and when do I aproximately wake up?

The basis I've heard of it, but it's US supported only I live in Europe, so the fitbit was the best thing to go for, at least the most affordable.
