Round Ligament Pains

Hello Ladies,
Just wanted to vent here...I am currently in my 2nd Trimester 17.4d and I am experiencing these ligament pains a 2nd go round. They hurt so bad and I don't know what to do but just wait it out. I tried stretching and some yoga but that didnt help this time. I am super tired cause I can't sleep from the baby being balled up on one side that causing me to be really sore and it makes it hard to walk. I thought that maybe it's because I still continue to lift on my 3 days per week I workout...Granted it isn't any heavy lifting but maybe the muscles are tightening to cause the pains to come back. What do you guys think? Or have you had these pains and was able to have a resolution to making them ease up.

It isn't from lifting. All I've done as far as working out is walking and swimming and I'm still experiencing round ligament pain on a daily basis. I'm at 26 weeks now, occasionally I will take tylenol, and swimming helps when I'm in the pool, but I'm afraid aside from that there isn't much I can recommend to you. But, at very least, I can say it's perfectly normal, and as long as you were already lifting regularly prior to your pregnancy and your OB has no concerns, I'd say carry on.0

I agree, it's not from lifting because I'm not doing any! My midwife says it's the body and the change in hormones making those pains - primary reason is to help the ligaments, etc. in the pelvic area get ready for delivery. When I asked why I was feeling it MUCH sooner this go around (this is pregnancy #2 for me), all she said (with a smile on her face) was "welcome to multiple pregnancies - the body doesn't forget what happened last time and will react sooner than it did before." Oh, goodie. *sigh*0

I had this in my third pregnancy (she's 4 months now) at around 20 weeks or so, maybe a little later. It was so bad I had to leave the gym. It hurt on the treadmill, so I tried the stepper and that hurt, then the x trainer, then the bike, then I gave up and went home lol. It only lasted a couple of weeks though and then I was fine and it didn't happen again. I'm sure I had it in my 2nd pregnancy, but I don't remember having it in my first. I was doing some weight lifting, but not that much.0

I've been getting them alot, and it's pretty random, but mostly if I bend a certain way or get up too fast. There''s no way to make it go away but just let it go and resolve itself.
Sucks though, because it's soooo painful.0 -
This is my 4th pregnancy and Ive been dealing with round ligament pains from the beginning. It is miserable.0

I never really had them with my first. But I started feeling severe round ligament pains around 15 weeks. I'm 20 weeks & they are still going strong. I don't work out much & still have them so I doubt it's from lifting. Hang in there!0
