What did you think of s8e4?
It confused me a bit... I get the points of who the boy was and all that.... I understood the total story line... but if there was nothing there the whole time then what was under the blanket? Were they all just imagining it? It's a bit confusing imho.

I agree they sort of ruined the whole thing at the end. It was a GREAT story idea... and then they just sort of dismissed it all. I understand that was sort of the point - MAYBE the kid in Rupert's bed was just a kid playing a joke. They did show the door closing, after all. But the spaceship door opening? I'm trying to find a way to explain that. The ending was sort of a cop-out, like Moffat went, "Oh right, this is a kid-friendly show, and we can't tell them there are monsters under the bed for real." And of course, his signature, "Let's make Clara super-wise and the answer to everything!"
I think Moffat has a crush on Jenna. Like, seriously. Or maybe it's a crush on his Clara character. Or are they one and the same to him? Ugh.
But did they forget about the Silence?! I mean, honestly. You talk about the perfect hiders - they ARE the perfect hiders. You forget they exist the moment you stop looking. If I were the Doctor, and I came up with this theory about someone you never see, I would immediately start carrying a marker and looking for tally marks. Because he's BEEN there. Don't act like this idea of a creature you never see is something new, or find a better way to portray it. Couldn't he at least have made a mention of Silence? It would have been so easy. "Maybe..." *pushes up his coat sleeve* "No tallies. This is something new, then." SO SIMPLE.
But I love Capaldi. Like, I really adore him. He may wind up being my favorite Doctor ever, if they ever get the writing under control. I nearly died when he stole the guard's coffee. Perfect. So perfect.0 -

THANK YOU!! I loved the story idea, classic scary ''watch from behind the couch'' Who, but they completely ruined it in the end! And especially the way they totally ignored the silence. Hello...?! You already know creatures that have perfected hiding! Gah, stupid Moffat... *rant over*0 -
Yup I agree! I figured when the title was Listen, and he wrote it it would tie into the Silence. Listen... Silence... I figured it may have been a play on words. But nope... I think Clara is alright but I agree she is stealing too much of the spot light so far.... I can't wait to see her go.0
