Hi all! First want to say congrats to those who've made the plunge and have had their sleeve done and congrats to those that are in the process. I had my sleeve done 4/14/2014 and I am down 85#, although I'm happy about that I feel like a good portion is muscle atrophy. So my question is for those that have already been sleeved. What is your daily food/fluid intake? I'm looking for ideas and comparison. Thanks for any help!

I was sleeved in Feb/2011. I have lost 192lbs thus far and still want to lose another 50. I was super morbidly obese. The dietician has me on 1200=1500 calories right now. I am a 5'10 1/2 " female in her late forties. I try to hit the middle of the road with 1350. and that has helped my lose 50lbs in 3.5 months on MFP. I drink between 12 -16 glass of water a day.
Please keep in mind that what works for me may not be right for you. This is meant to give you more information, not to be used as a guide for yourself. Your dietician should tell you what your requirements should be. I actually had to ask because no one gave me an idea, so that is why I am sharing my requirements with you.
Hope this helped and good luck on your journey.0 -

I will second what Asia1967 said in regards to "your mileage may very" in terms of calories. This was something I really struggled with over the summer as I felt that I was doing something wrong when I was eating 400-800 cal more a day that most people who were where I was.
But I was sleeved on 29 Jan 2014. From about May-July I was around 1000-1200 cal/day. The past month or two I'm usually in the 1200-1500 cal/day range. I try to keep my protein at least 80-100 grams/day (I weight train heavily), and let the carbs and fat fall where they may generally shooting for more protein than carbs. My surgeon wants my carbs close to 100 grams/day and this is where I've found is most useful to sustain my level of physical activity. Even with that, for intense weight training days or doing an hour or more of HIIT or 10+ mile bike rides I usually have to eat an energy gel or fruit squeeze so I don't fall over.
I typically drink around a gallon of water/day, but I live in Florida and its hot. I also rarely drink much else (which was true before surgery as well).
My nutrition and I focus less on numbers when we meet (which is so hard because I'm a numbers gal), and more on quality/quantity/satisfaction/emotional eating.
My diary is open as well if you so wish to peruse.0 -
I'm down 56 pounds. Had my surgery 5-14-14. I pretty much live on protein shakes and yogurt and cottage cheese. I eat ground beef sometimes and the occasional pieceo f bacon with egg. I don't eat much vegetables, a bit of a disappointment to me since I love them, but I'm trying to get more in. Also, I don't eat salads and I used to eat them so much. so I hope to eat more of them soon.
Sometimes I log my food, sometimes I don't and I don't get on the scale everyday. I was really obsessing over every little thing and it didn't seem to speed up the process, so now I'm just following the plan and getting on with life.0
