Good morning ladies and gents!! Hope this finds everyone happy and well this morning. I just wanted to start this morning with a random quote that we received at work today. I feel this is very true for all of us:

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Unknown

On this journey, I have "followed" weight watchers, "followed" a reduced calorie diet instead of embracing this as a lifestyle change. I'm embracing my weight loss as a lifestyle change... where not only do I need to change the food I am eating, but the behavior around the food choices. The trail I plan on leaving is the excess fat, unhealthy habits, way of thinking about food and mood. Would anyone care to make their own path also??

We are on the same trail Cari. I think everyone here who is finding success is finding it because they are working on changing their lifestyle and not obsessing about the weight loss. I know I am enjoying this new life much more then the old one. I always use to think of weightless as a tedious chore, when in reality this year will probably turn out to be one of my happiest in a while.

The biggest change for me has been that I am focused on "health" goals. The pounds aren't anywhere nearly as important. They kind of match up some, but for now, I'm just plodding along. I've finally started enjoying this cooler weather and walking again a little. Bought a new pair of tennis shoes this weekend because my last ones were 3 years old and 75+ pounds ago! They're mostly awesome... And yes, I haven't to make my own path, because no one program's tenets apply in whole to me...so I'm snagging the parts that work here or there and just going on with it. Trying to get back into my healthier habits...but slow going...

Hugs to all, Carly in OK who would love to win the lottery right now so she could buy all the healthy foods, bikes for her guy and her (with all the required safety accessories), an HRM to keep track of things, a little ease in the finances so stress relief and sleep will come easier...etc. etc. etc. And happy healthy goodies of some kind for all her friends, too-too...
