Vacation!!!

I just got back form a 4 day girls weekend in New Orleans! We had the PERFECT place to stay in a little shotgun cottage on the residential end of Borubon Street about 10 blocks from the craziness. GREAT weekend! For the first time ever, my friends were struggling to keep up with ME! Exceeded my steps goal every day! BUT, a 4-day rolling cocktail party WILL pack on the pounds! FIVE of them to be exact! (Which I fully anticipated, btw).

So today, it's back to my good habits. 50 min on the bike, push ups & crunches before work, dial back the snackage and eat clean! I've never really failed to LOSE weight before, but I'd always failed to maintain because I'd let myself slip too far. So this is me bouncing around in my goal range. That was FUN, but I miss my GOOD habits! If you're just starting out, know that WLS is not a magic procedure. Something I always knew, but had not really lived before now. It will help get us over the hump and give us the boost we need to maintain our health IF we work at it. But we have to do the work! Happy Monday, yall!

    A 4 day long cocktail party? Oh my word how fun!!!! Worth every pound, too I bet! I love your attitude---and I bet the weight just falls right off once you get back to your usual lifestyle. You are so right, too-- the occasional vacations and splurges are not what causes regain-- it is the failure to maintain the day after day good habits. Thanks for the reminder. :glasses:
