Morning all. I had an over endulgent weekend so this week I need to get back on track. Hope everyone else had a great weekend.
Todays goals:
1. drink plenty of water
2. stay under calories (was thinking of trying a fasting day since I am still not hungry after everything I ate yesterday at the picnic)
3. get to bed early since I didnt sleep well last night
4. p90x week 5 (done)

I had an overindulgent weekend too, where I didn't really eat like I prefer to in general, so this week is also back to basics. Last week I ate somewhat badly, but exercised like crazy to counterbalance, and I think I'll take it a bit easier this week (except get all my training runs in!).
Today:
1) Go to the gym and work with weights.
2) Get 10,000 steps in.
3) Lots of water.
4) Stay around 1500 calories. (I'm going to try to figure out this week whether a TDEE approach would work for me.)0 -
I was really bad last week, from the salty and surgery foods. I also overate so I've decided to make a week long goal where I only drink water with the exception of one glass of coffee if I need it to stay awake at work. I'm also going to try not to have an excess of salt and sugar this week.
Today:
1. ONLY drink water (except 1 glass of coffee)
2. Do Intermediate Vinyasa Yoga
3. Stay in 1,200 range
4. Get enough sleep
I'm thinking about attempting to do both Zumba and Yoga on the same day. I have to wake up earlier because of my boyfriend anyways so that may be the best time to do it. I was thinking that would help re-lose that pound.0 -
I haven't been doing these daily goals, at least not here on the forums. It seems like it may be good for accountability though, so here goes :glasses:
1. complete my walk - done
2. complete my circuits -done
3. fold clothes
4. do yard work
5. get to bed on time
Ok, so not just weight loss related
Since I have quit soda, I easily drink at least 12 glasses of water, sometimes as many as 18!
Intermittent fasting is making it easy to stay in my calorie goal too. I've realized that when I try to eat a little bit all day I'm just not satisfied and keep eating, going over more than I was staying under.
My 15 minute walk this morning to warm up before my circuits turned into 2 miles in 35! And I managed 2 circuits, when I thought I would only manage one!
Knightaa1 ~ I like to do a short yoga routine after my workout (one of my goals should be to work it in every time) to help me stretch out those muscles while still building the strength and balance. Seems like it would be a great cool-down after Zumba.
Lemurcat~ I have my calories set at BMR and try to stay within 200 calories in either direction of that. I eat back half my calories only when I burn over 400 according to MFP. I know I used the TDEE to set that up, but don't remember the percentages and all that now. I want to say that one of the commonly used calculations had me eating under BMR, so that's why I set it there. Yea, lol don't know if any of that helps you.
wow, I'm talking today0 -
Oh I see, thanks for the advise! I was thinking about making it my main routine, but I think I'll try something similar to what you are doing, or switch from Yoga/Zumba everyday. I did the Yoga today and I didn't sweat as much, but I did get tired very quickly. I found that kinda interesting.0
