This thread serves as the (un)official conversation for this "Avatar: The Last Airbender" sequel. C'mon, now... I know I'm not the only one to watch it. Show yourself so that we can discuss Seasons 1-3 and continue on until Season 4 premier next month!
While I'm waiting... here's a nice piece of promo art for "the hidden years":

2nd series (TLOK) = aired 3 books/seasons, 39 eps; 4th and final book airs in Oct.
There's a 70 year gap between series, so you can start with TLOK and later go back to watch ATLA for the history. If you have the time to binge watch, of course it'd be better to watch in order.
Whichever series you choose to start with, absolutely watch the episodes in order as there is a high-continuity factor. Both are available on NetFlix; enjoy!0 -
sweet i might start watching it either after dr who or when i get burnt out on it for a few days0

Start with the original imo. Korra is good, but not as good as the original series.
Do NOT be put off by the quality of the pilot episode, they never fixed it (that I've seen) from the demo quality, but the story gets it's start and the quality of the graphics goes up tremendously.
The story itself is great for both kids and their slightly nerdy parents, ok parent - my wife never joined us in watching this, but is highly amused by my love of the show. My kids, now adults, still keep me appraised of where and when to find the episodes.
Enjoy the binge watch Adam.0 -
The comics are great too. Watch the original first, then read the comics which picks up the story immediately after the events in the finale, then Korra. If you can find it. I don't have cable and it's not available through Netflix, so now that the next season is web only, I'll be too far behind to start. Anyone know where the first Seasons are hiding? Or should I just buy them0
