Cannot synch

I am sure this has come up before so I apologize if its a worn out topic. I cannot synch with my desktop computer. It says there is no internet connection. I have deleted it the program, reentered it, changed the settings. The device is on and seems to run through it program without difficulty. I have plugged it in and restarted it. Any suggestions? The site does not seem to be particularly helpful, been waiting days for a response from them
