hi gals )
did workout B on Sunday morning and later in the day my neck was hurting. since Sunday it's only gotten worse. no idea if i pulled something doing the workout or if i slept wrong on it or what. i haven't done any workouts since it pretty much hurts to be just sitting still. could this muscle pull be from bad form? i didn't feel any pain during the whole workout.
can it help to get back into it or should i hold off a few days? i obviously don't want to make it worse but i am missing my workouts.

Do you remember looking downward when doing squats? Cuz that'll probably give you neck pain. I have to consciously remind myself to keep my head bent back/look up (instead of looking to the floor) when I squat otherwise my neck will be killing me the next day and will last for a few days (it's like a dull, achy pain, right?). Foam roll your trapezius area or get a massage - it'll feel much better.0

Usually if its from sleeping it will show up right away when you wake up. I agree with katro, foam roll and a massage would do wonders. I pulled a muscle in my neck once when i was squatting. I wasn't concentrating enough on my posterior chain to lift me.0

You want to keep a neutral Cervical Spine when you're squatting (not looking up or down). Anyway, I would bet you just slept on it wrong. I do that occasionally (and it sucks!). Heating pad, SMR, & stretching.0
