Are there any good vegan venues in NW England?

Hi, my partner and I would love to hear of any places to eat out that serve plant based cooking (vegan) that's worth going out for.
We live near Congleton which is between Stoke and Manchester.
We've been quite disappointed with our vegan restaurant options search so far. ... badly cooked vegetables in small portions often seeming like a dish that had just had the meat/fish left away, or questions like "can vegans really not eat dairy and eggs"? which is pretty much a cue to leave rather than trust that restaurant!
Doesn't have to be an all vegan restaurant by any means, just somewhere that's going to serve better stuff than staying home and cooking ourselves.
