I caught a nice two and a half pound bass fishing from the bank. It had indications that it was eating off of the bottom. I hooked into a second one but I lost him. He was popping out of the water a few times to get free. I thought I had him and then I did not . . . .so sad. There is a rain and I love to fish in the rain.

I guess I should get back into freshwater fishing. I can't catch anything in the salt to save my life....0

The last time I was on the river I did more sightseeing and swimming than fishing. I need to plan another trip soon and try for some bass. My pond is holding water after years of being dry, and I have stocked it with several kinds of bream. They have had time to grow enough that I think it's safe to start putting bass in there. 25 years ago we could depend on catching several 4 and 5 pounders each time we went fishing.
