Prenatal Pilates Success Stories?

One of the fitness DVDs I am alternating between is a Prenatal Pilates one. I did the exercises this morning, and could feel it in my muscles but wasn't getting my heart rate up really. Is that common for pilates? Has anyone had luck with pilates toning their body? I really want to work on strengthening my arms and back.

    I once tried regular pilates.
I couldn't move for a few days afterwards.
... I've not tried it since.

Pilates is a low-intensity exercise, during which I rarely get my heart rate above 100 bpm. It is not cardio focused, but it is very good for strengthening your core and most importantly your pelvic floor, which makes it worthwhile to do while pregnant even if it's not helping burn many calories.

Pilates won't get your heart rate up , try some body weight exercise and throw in some cardio walking
