"Be willing to follow wherever I lead. Follow Me wholeheartedly, with glad anticipation quickening your pace. Though you don’t know what lies ahead, I know; and that is enough! Some of My richest blessings are just around the bend: out of sight, but nonetheless very real. To receive these gifts, you must walk by faith—not by sight. This doesn’t mean closing your eyes to what is all around you. It means subordinating the visible world to the invisible Shepherd of your soul.
Sometimes I lead you up a high mountain with only My hand to support you. The higher you climb, the more spectacular the view becomes; also, the more keenly you sense your separation from the world with all its problems. This frees you to experience exuberantly the joyous reality of My Presence. Give yourself fully to these Glory-moments, awash in dazzling Light. I will eventually lead you down the mountain, back into community with others. Let My Light continue to shine within you as you walk among people again.
We live by faith, not by sight.
—2 Corinthians 5:7
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
—Psalm 96:6
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
—John 8:12
For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
—Psalm 36:9"
How can I relate this to my weight loss journey?
I have to follow Him and His guidance. He knows what I need to do. I have to go by faith not by sight.
"Good Morning Father, you are great and mighty. Thank you first of all for a great weekend. I ask you that you will please have your way in my life. Please help me with today, to make wise decisions. In Jesus Name, Amen."

Lord knows this posting was right on time!! I swear with my hubby losing his job and me trying to finally find something that I went to school for.. this was just letting me know to take my time because my God is an ontime God!!
Thank you so much!!0 -
Today I am feeling stressed and could go for the emotional eating path/crawl in bed to avoid the world path that I choose prior to this weight loss journey. I know that God is near and he knows how everything will turn out, so I just need to trust, continue on His path and it will all work out. Not following him will only lead me back to the darkness where the bad habits lie.0

I'm so much like the Peter-asking the Lord if they could just STAY THERE on the mountaintop.
....going back into the REAL world to face all the REAL problems with all the REST of the people is what's HARD, REALLY REALLY HARD for me....
I try NOT to let people be the motivation behind my will to persevere....
but TRUTH IS....
while I can soar for MILES on a couple of encouraging words,
I also let ONE negative snide comment
completely derail me.
I need to be willing to follow Him, NO MATTER WHAT...
because circumstances change
HE DOESN'T.0
