Foot pain and goal race on Sunday

So I'm currently training for 2 races, the BAA HM on Oct 12th (A race) and the Manchester City Marathon on November 2nd (B race). I've got a very specific goal for the HM, the full is just for the finish.
Anyway, i woke up with pain on the inside of my left foot, not quite at the arch, closer to the ankle. I can feel the pain in my ankle a bit when I stand on it, but the source of the pain isn't in the ankle. I've never been particularly injury prone, in fact I think the cause of the pain is a pair of shoes i wore over the weekend.
Any thoughts on how I should be treating this? Should i be running on it? Or resting at least today? Maybe I'm worrying prematurely, but right now I don't know what would be worse, skipping the HM entirely or being able to run it but not at 100%. So i want to do whatever I can to get the plan back on schedule.
Thanks everyone!

It's tough to advise others on how to handle their injuries. Whether right or wrong, most of the people on here are going to tell you that they keep running as long as they can they can. I would say that, at a minimum, ice it and keep an eye on it if you continue to run. Stop if the pain is too intense and add in additional rest days if you feel you need them. Since your HM is less than a week away, you could probably use an easy week anyway!0

If I was in your situation, I would be tapering for Race A since that's your primary objective and with a potential injury, I'd suggest it won't do any hard whatsoever to totally rest. You can do a few easy miles 1 or 2 days beforehand to test it out and then make your decision whether it's healed enough.
I suppose a physio visit won't do any harm either0 -
I'd test it out again and if it is bad, lay off. You'll be ok for the HM...better than you would be if you irritate it. I dunno, though....that's just what I would do.
Sending lots of good healing vibes your way!0 -
I'm leaning toward no running today because if 24 hours complete rest makes it go away, then that's great and I proceed as normal. If it still hurts tomorrow, I'm getting that I'll have to try running on it some during the week to see if the race is feasible. I was originally going to do mostly easy miles for my taper but do my 800 interval day on Wednesday, as was in my plan. Should i skip that in favor of doing a couple of miles at HM pace to see if I can handle it?0

I'm a believer in running taper runs at pace. But I would try to stick your norm as much as possible. Good luck0
