Cmon..you must have played these.
Favourites? Worst? Best bits?
For me 7 or 10 are the best, with 9 or 12 being the worst. 13 was another of my half done games...i got to chapter 11, finally at the free roaming world, got into the big tower, and halfway through i just...didn't play it again! No idea why!

You should finish 13! 13-2 comes out soon!0

I still haven't played through 12 or 13 yest.... lol I sort of got stuck on 11 and haven't really put it down since ha ha
I really enjoyed 8 though, and while 9 was graphically pretty, it was one of the few I've never played through a second time.0 -
I only played 7 - 10. I never got very far in 9 because I didn't care for the character designs... Maybe I'll play it after I'm done watching Soul Eater.
I can't play 13 because I lack the proper game system.0 -
Ive only played 13 and only half of it. I have no final fantasy base on which to compare it but i really enjoyed it. Ive just been slacking on getting my saves off my brothers PS3.0
-
If you enjoyed 13, widely regarded as the "worst", you'll love the others, especially 10!
9 was by far the worst imo, mainly due to there being nothing....amazing in it. The ultimate summon, that took ages to get, looked very nice and long...and did less damage than my basic mug attack!
Although, the chocobo treasure hunting was great fun!0 -
I have played every Final Fantasy. Out of 7-13, my favorites are 7 and 8. All time favorite though is 6, which is going to be released on PSN either this month or next. I'm excited for it. I never understood why so many people seemed to hate 8. GUNBLADE, how can you not love that?
Oh, and I still try to play Final Fantasy 1 at least once a year, same with Zelda's Link to the Past.0 -
9 is my favourite out of those (although 6 would probably get my vote as best of all time). Excluding 11 (it's not really comparable since it's an MMO) 7 is probably my least favourite. It was an amazing game when it first came out but it has aged pretty terribly. The graphics are poor (even for a PS1 game), the translation is terrible and in general it just isn't that playable.0

This just totally and completely MADE MY DAY. Something close to tears of joy right now. I want some portable FF6 -so- bad!0 -
The card game in FF8 was the best minigame every imo...card game in 9 just ruined it...0
-
but yeah, 7-13 is tough for me to choose. I really love 7, but 8 I spent the most time on. 9 was awfully pretty (to me) and 10 was something I did not enjoy in the slightest.0

ff8 cards made me so mad! i just could not win!0 -
I loff FF.
Out of 7 - 13, I think 10 is my favorite. I could never play through 7... I think it was the graphics... I am a bit of a graphics *kitten*. I died when I watched "Advent Children" because of the beautiful graphics. lol. I am one of those people who advocate for a re-release of 7 with new graphics. It could reach a whole new generation too.
I really enjoyed 8 as well. I found 13 fun but kind of boring at times. The graphics made me smile. I don't have an HD TV so I kept hooking it up to my computer monitor. I can't even play it on our "normal" TV... can't see the health bars. I wish it was a little less linear... and the characters could have been more developed.
I hated 9... and 12. I was SO disappointed with 12...
When is 13-2 out??0 -
Ah, nice. Big FF fan. My favorites were VII, VI, IX and Tactics. I played the hell out of these.6, which is going to be released on PSN either this month or next

You do know they already made a FF6 port for the Gameboy Advance. You could play it on a DS Lite if you have one.0 -

I was unaware of this! :O I have a DS Lite, I will be on the lookout for that port! (I have the DS and my guy has the PSP, so it would be nicer to have it on DS anyhow)0 -

Fairly high in price for a GBA game... guess it's rare or very popular0 -
I love the story and battle systems for VIII and X. I played FFXI for years before I quit MMORPGs altogether. I think having almost every job to the max level showed it was time to stop. VII, XII, X-2, and XIII are fun. I did not like IX. I thought the story was great, but the game play was not for me. Original tactics for PS is still my favorite, I think.0
-
My absolute favorite is FFIX. Love the stories, the characters, the system, everything. I'm more of a fan of the class-based systems then the "choose your own class" of some of the more recent games in the series. Alas, I seem to be in the minority there. XD
X is probably in 2nd for me. I haven't beaten any of the others, however. I got stuck on VIII, cause I hated the battle system and had a tendency to run from random fights towards the end. VII was entertaining, but I just stopped playing and never finished. I reeeeaaaaallly love the storyline for XIII, but I have to say, for a battle system that seems to run on auto most of the time, some of those boss fights I find ridiculously hard. Especially when they cast doom on you and it took me ages to whittle the boss' HP down. x.x I don't know if I'll be able to finish it without starting over.
Oh, and I adore XI. Played that game for around 6 years or so, on and off near the end. I'd be back in it now, but I don't really have time for it anymore.0 -
FF 10 was my favorite. 11 was alright. I started 12 and didn't finish it. I actually forgot I had it till now haha. I might actually start that back up soon.0
-
I've heard that FF10 was one of the better ones, is this true?0

Depends on who you ask. It was OK to me, not my favorite. Graphically, it was really nice. The story was decent too, but what I didn't like about it was the Sphere Grid. I'm partial to the classic EXP leveling up system, not that.0 -
the reason i didn't like 10 was the cutscenes. I want to be part of the game, I don't want to watch a movie
it had a good plot, had a strange level up system (like saruman said, the sphere), and had lots of movie scenes and rather great graphics for a ps2 game. i just never enjoyed it0 -
^ I LOVED the cut scenes... they made me drool0
-
8 omg 8 best starting scene and scenes in general!best sound track! Best gameplay! Ugh! I need to changed my pants now.0
-
I've heard it said that most people like the FF that they played first. This is actually the case for me. I played FFX first and then played a few of the others. I would have to say that FFX and FFXII were my favorites. Both of them were extremely pretty, though I found myself emotionally drawn more into 10 than 12.0
-
9 is my favorite, probably because it's the first FF I beat. I even remember being down to only Vivi alive and luckily the *kitten* had a reflect on him. I danced around the room when the boss went down.
I liked 6,7, 10 as well. Hell I even like 10-2 (I feel like I'm the only person :P) 11 I tried to get into cause I like MMOs but leveling frustrated me. 12 frustrated me as well. 13 I got bored with even though it was so pretty and I loved the characters. I suck at tactical games so I found Tactics super hard and gave up.0 -
7 and 8 are my favorites...Pretty much tied there. I like 9 okay, but ONLY because of Vivi.0

I've liked them all, actually, except for 12, which I have't played. Even 9, which everyone I knew then seemed to hate (totally had the worst strategy guide ever tho). I can't wait for 13-2...I know 13 was linear as all heck, but there was something about it that kept drawing me back..
It could have been the utter awesomeness of Fang and Lightning. I'm not sure.0 -

I almost forgot about X-2. That's was a good one too. But I think FF10 will always be my favorite.0 -
10-2 and 130
