Since all of the other states and regions are starting their own groups, we need to get our people together and show them that we live in the best state on the Best Coast.

Hell ya, California is best. I grew up back east and I am never going back. No humidity and no snow is complete happiness as far as I am concerned.

I grew up near Sacramento, moved to VA for 3 years, a quick jaunt in TX for 7 mo, and back now.
Except in awesome San Diego!!! Yea!

    Agreed.
  • I don't think I could live anywhere else! CA is the best.
  • Transplanted NY'er here. Happy to live in Venice, though its made me a bit wimpy about the weather. I get cold on chilly Venice evenings, colder than I remember being in NY during winter nights. I think its a mind-set, as well as my blood getting thinner due to the normal climate. Who knows.

Thanks for starting the Group! Cali is the best place to live for sure!
  • Heck yes! We pay a pretty penny for our sunshine and it's totally worth it.

Aside from the horrible state government and boom or bust economy which has been bust for too long, I really like CA, there's a lot to do! I couldn't imagine living somewhere like Kansas... of course there's "no place like home" out there, because there is NO place BUT home!

Hi, I am new to the site and counting calories, and also just joined this group, my first group in here. I grew up in San Diego, CA and spent most of my live in CA, other than a couple of years in Va. I am living in Escondido, Ca right now. I love Ca other than the high cost of living and the poor economy right now.

I'm returning once again. I'm from Sikicon Valley and have a hubby and two adult kids. Time for me to get this weight off. I'm on a high protein diet my Kidney Doctor advised me to start. It's the first couple weeks and Im down 12 pounds. I have so much to lose but it already feels better.
I take in 160 cal high protein drink and If I get hungry I eat cottage cheese with nuts and seeds of Greek yogurt with the same. So far so good. Oh I forgot I also take a multi-vitamin with extra vitamin D.
