Challenges

Challenges will be broken up into categories. I will redo them every other Sunday and there will be a new discussion for each group of challenges with the dates listed.
The categories for the challenges are nutrition, exercise/fitness, and wellness. The first two are pretty self explanatory but wellness, for example, is something like taking a bubble bath, or stretching. Something that doesn't really contribute to your weight loss, but it contributes to your overall well-being.
You can also add in your own personal challenges like, "I want to drink 8-10 glasses of water every day." If drinking that much water isn't one of the challenges for the week, you can make it your own.
I will keep up each discussion for each challenge so that if there's a post you'd like to go back and make a note of, it will still be there.

All challenges are welcome for sure. And thanks so much for putting together this group. I particularly like challenges that add a little coemthing extra to my workouts. I have a pretty regular routine that I do, but I love things that I can add to it, like adding 10 extra minutes to daily workouts, 50 jumping jacks each day, etc, where I can squeeze in a little extra calorie burn.
I'm happy to help moderate if you'd like. I'd more direction about what you expect from Mods, but I'd love to be involved in any way that I can be helpful.0 -
Okay guys, Sunday is the "challenge day," but the challenges probably won't be posted until Sunday evening. I'll be away all weekend and not sure when I'll be home to post. Still gonna log on from my phone to log my food, but posting on the groups will be a challenge (no pun intended).
What does everyone wanna do for the challenges?0 -
I think it would be cool to incorporate challenges you can do anywhere, like work or school. Waiting at the fax machine? What better time than now to squeeze out 10 calf-raises. Sitting in class for a long lecture? Push yourself to do 10 ab contractions every time the professor says "And so..."
:-) These are the types of little challenges I do for myself, anyways.0 -

LOL I love the ab contraction thing. It's like a drinking game0 -

The results of ab contractions are way better than the results of a hangover though0

Okay, hoping that there will be more activity for challenge ideas this weekend. Not really gonna be online too much this weekend other than to log my food! Otherwise I'm just gonna pull ideas out of my behind Sunday night.0
