Hey, I'm doing the Turkey Day 5 K. Its laid back and has a good shirt. I've already worn it which is probably bad form. Oh well.

If anyone else is going to do that race, PM me or talk about it here.

I'm also thinking about the Polar Dash on New Years.

  • I may run the Turkey Day 5k or Drumstick Dash, but it'll be a last minute decision because I like to see the race day weather forecast before registering. It's rare that I pre-register for these winter races, however, the Resolution Run (Running Room, Maple Grove, Dec. 31st) offers a really nice, thick, tech fabric jacket that's worth more than the registration cost even if one doesn't participate in the race.

I wanted to do the Turkey Day 5K but I thought that I read registration closed on 11/2/11??? I am gonna go look it up again...

There is race day registration starting at 6:30 that morning, but it will cost $5-$10 more than pre-registering, and there's the risk of shirt sizes running out if a lot of people choose that option.

I usually do the Kim A Turkey Day 5K around Lake Calhoun with my friend (Kim A, obviously). Fun to say, isn't it? Thanks for the info about the resolution run in MG! That's a much better idea than New Year's morning!

I'm doing the Gobble Gait 8k in Hastings. They also offer a 2k option for kids/families. Info can be found at www.gobblegait.com.

I've been told by a doc not to run for 6 weeks, so I'm not doing any 5K for Turkey Day, nor for New Year's. Grrrrr.
