I created this group after doing a Christmas Card Exchange on another site last year. That site happened to be a recipe site, so the cards that I received included wonderful holiday recipes from all over!
Depending on how many people join, expect to send out and receive about 5-10 cards. These can include fun little 3x5 cards that you decorate with encouragement, pre-printed cards with sweet sentiments for the holidays, or healthy recipes.
I love the holidays and can't wait to send some cards out!! I am actually already starting to make some 3x5 cards to go out to those that join!

I have used any soldier as well. There's also a dedicated soldier site called adoptaussoldier.org You actually get assigned you very own soldier.
Anyways, back on topic! I love christmas cards! How about when sending them out we include our MFP name so we can thank the people who sent us the cards? So, how do we get our addresses out there? My hubby is a freak about posting our address for the world to see, lol little does he know anyone can find you at any time. weirdo.0 -

My name is Jacqueline ,Count me in......I love this idea!! I love to scrapbook and have plenty of stuff packed up. It will give me something to do, and take my mind off eating.WIN, WIN. Now I have a reason to clean off the kitchen table. Someone will need to keep me informed, I'm afraid I may not know how to get back to this group. I'm still learning my way around the site.I also wonder about the address situation?0

Sorry for the late response ladies, but I am SO glad to see more have joined!!! I'm SUPER excited now!!!
If you want to e-mail me your physical addresses (I understand you may not want it out on the web for security purposes), my e-mail address is bcfossett@yahoo.com.
I will create a spreadsheet and send it out to everyone. If you would like, please send a card/encouragement to everyone that is on the list! I do ask that you send at least 5 that way everyone gets 5.
As far as continuing this after Christmas - A B S O L U T E L Y!!!! I plan to!! Everyone loves getting real mail, so I will definitely encourage you to send out encouragement letters as often as you are able!
I will be checking back in this evening! I will collect address through the 25th (day after Thanksgiving) and I will put all addresses together on the 26th and 27th and send out the spreadsheet on the 28th!

Now, I know not everyone has kids, and maybe mine are too "cool" to do it anymore... but what if the kids want to get into making a card or drawing something for our people?
AND is everyone into making cards? I got into stampin up and have some stuff, but nothing christmas, so I'll be buying those. I belong to a free stamping site, it IS for Stampin up stamps and such, but there are all sorts of ideas for our creative members out there!

I am so excited!!! I have gotten 4 addresses so far and this is looking like so much fun!
If you are a crafty person and want to make the cards, please feel free to do so!! That will make them THAT much more special.
For the less craft-inclined, buying cards is perfectly okay! I am a crafty person, however I am also a busy person. No one will hold it against you.
Feel free to include healthy recipes with your cards. I'm sure we could all use something healthy after the holidays!!
If you have a child or children, get them involved! Hand prints, finger prints, etc... All are welcome!
If any of you don't have me added to your friends, feel free to add me! I love encouraging people and I would love to get to know each of you!

I'd like to join too if thats ok? Im not creative though so you all will probably get my generic "i just got married so look at my picture type card" , but ill try to at least write something motivational on it too
as far as continuing after christmas, i definitely like that idea too....there are plenty of other holidays but we also could include our birthdays, goal weights, special occasions (anniversary, running a 5k, etc) to the spreadsheet that people could send stuff for as well.

Hi - I am pretty new to the MFP site and actually just "found" all the pages of Groups one can join.. I was all the way into PAGE 67 or so when I happened on yours... I would love to be able to join but if you are setting a limit on the number of members I totally understand ... or do you think another group needs to be formed for new people? How does one just pick 5 people to send their cards to.. ?? Just wondering ... Thanks ...Patti:flowerforyou: 0
