Post your bicycling blog links on this thread. Here is my own, but I am not much of an active blogger right now. :smokin:

I have never thought of doing a blog, but yours looks great. Where do I start on setting one up?0 -

Thanks dcmat! Lots of blogging options out there. I am using a hosted site (pay a few dollars a month) and using installed software on that site from WordPress, but you can also go the totally free route, including the free version of WordPress hosted sites. Here are a few links:

I'm sure there are a bunch of others that are free. If you go the pay route, you can find a hosting provider and basically pay a few bucks a month, and then pay a few more a month for your own domain name. I am a tinkerer, so for me, having greater control over everything is worth it, but the big thing is actually taking the time to put my thoughts down. I build it, and then, I sometimes don't even show up, lol. Man, I am weird. :huh:0 -

Thanks! I just added your blog to my feed reader, too! Hmm...I think a Halloween cat bruise would have been kind of fun. I wonder if hedgehogs and cats get along...?0 -

I have my blog on Blogger with a paid domain. It's $10/year right through Google hosting. Easy peasy. And Blogger templates are a LOT more customizable than they used to be. Mine is a stock template that I've tweaked.0 -

Thanks -- and how! I still run, which is what I was doing before I got on a bike, but the bike just feels like it's what I should have been doing decades ago. I only regret not discovering it until I was pushing 40.0 -

If you do, send me a message when you know when and I can give you some decent routes in the area. Some nice rides, but hey it's all I really know.0 -

Hiya Beth. Nice blog! I really like this snippet of advice from one of your posts, too:
"Pay your dues (like everyone who has come before you) and, most importantly, enjoy the ride."
Oh how true! I still am in the dues paying business, and I have found that no matter how much I pay, there's always someone else who's paid a lot more! And that's one of the cool things about cycling...we can just keep right on doing it a long, long time! There are folks much older than me who make me feel REALLY humble on a bike, people who have been paying their dues a lot longer. I think it's awesome.0 -
