Hey everyone. Welcome to Support in Saskatchewan!! I hope this community can be a place where we can have fun discussions, find workout buddies, get location-specific exercise recommendations and support each other's fitness through long, cold, Saskatchewan winters.

If we want to create a community, there will need to be a few basic rules. I'm not interested in policing anyone, so the main focus is on everyone feeling welcome and safe. I'd love feedback on this, so feel free to make suggestions for community rules.

Group rules:

1) Be nice. No personal attacks - focus on the idea, rather than the person.
2) We want everyone to feel welcome here, so no racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise bigoted language.
3) Casual conversation is encouraged, but try to avoid political propaganda or promotion. It's just no fun.
4) No advertisements for products or services that are not Saskatchewan, health, or fitness related. On the other hand, if there's an awesome farmer's market in Regina, go ahead and let us know.
5) No promotion of unsafe weight loss techniques or illegal activities. This is a no-brainer.
6) Don't post personal identifying information of other members without their express permission. This includes full names, phone numbers, and addresses.
7) If anyone has an complaint about moderation, please approach me first. I want this to be a fun place, and I'm willing to listen to feedback.

That's it for now. Let me know if there's anything you think should be included.

Good luck to everyone on their fitness journey!!

  • Hi! I love your list of rules!! I actually just switched over to this site from Weight Watchers this morning. A friend suggested this to me. So far, I'm really impressed! Its quite a bit like WW on-line but even more indepth - and of course - free!!
