This is just a post to introduce yourself and say hi. If you're looking for MFP friends or have any exercise interests (such as hiking, cross-country skiing, or canoeing), sports teams you love, or cool hobbies, let everyone know.
Basically, let's get to know one another here. Look forward to meeting you all!!

I am Andrea, 25, and 5'7 ,.
Been here for a while and I love it though I'm on teh 3rd? or the 4th Month of a plateau and I;m hating it.
I can never seem to really get into a activity. I like to walk outdoors as long as there is something to distract. Like Looking for golf balls. lol. I like canoeing but haven't gone in years. I adore cats but becuase of my place of residence Im not allowed one so I own a chinchilla and a blue tounged skink instead. I love to feel challanged. I used to have a work out body and she never knew it but I had a self goal of getting below her goal before she did. It kept me motivated. ANd Now I have no work buddy and cant seem to find motivation. I'm odd that way i guess. Im over sharing. I'll stop.0 -
Hello everyone,
My name's Tasha, I'm 28 and the proud Mommy of two little girls. I've been a member of MFP for a few years now; and used it to successfully loose 52 lbs before getting pregnant with my first and to loose all the baby weight by the time she was 6 months old. Now that baby number two is here and I'm finding it much harder to loose the weight - but I know I can do it, I have before it's just a matter of not getting discouraged and making it a priority in my schedule.
I look forward to getting to know you all.0 -
Hi my name is Krystle. I have been a MFP member for a while now. Last year I was able to lose 14lbs but bc of not being as active as I used to be I have put the majority of it back on. Looking for a new start and new challenges! Thanks for letting me join the group0

Hi! I'm Heather, I'm 32 years old and have a 4 month old daughter. Thanks for the invite to the group, completely agree that it's tough to stay motivated during our winters, I enjoy outdoor exercise so much more! I love running, but again, hate the treadmill! I've done the Queen City 1/2 marathon and the Saskatchewan 1/2 marathon and hope to get another one in this year.0

Hey, My names is Pix I am 28 single and have no kids. Been trying to lose weight since August 2010, and have only been able to lose and keep off about 3 pounds, and have lost 20+ inches all over so I take it where I can get it.
I think its great to have a group where other people are going to understand when I say "It is far to cold to go outside and go for a walk!" lol0 -
Thanks for the invite! Hi I'm Jaylene, 28 and have a 6 week old daughter. I have been on MFP for quite awhile and was able to lose 30 pounds and maintain my weight. I ran a half marathon last year in the Saskatchewan Marathon, skipped this year b/c I was pregnant and now am ready to get back into training for 2012 half marathon. I was 184 before I had my daughter in September and now I am down to 163. My goal is 140. I find winters to be the worst for being active, and now to find the time with having a baby is even more difficult. To all you mommy's that have found time to work out, Congrats! I barely find time to eat. But I am determined to make it work!0

Hi, thanks for the invite to this group. I'm Adrienne, I'm 34 years old and the mom to 3 boys, ages 14, 7 and 5. I never struggled with weight until I got pregnant with my first and it has been a battle for me now the last 14 years. I have successfully gone from 220 down to 150 when my oldest was 3 and kept it off until I got pregnant with my second, went back up to 200 with my second and never lost any of it even though I tried curves, got pregnant with my 3rd child very quickly after my second and shot up to 260. I lost all that over 2 years and maintained a weight of 160 for a year then slowly started going back up. Quit smoking almost a year ago and that loaned me an extra 20 pounds then we made a big move that I wasn't entirely happy about so I turned to emotional eating and put on 37 extra pounds less then a 3 month period. I finally woke up and saw how big I had gotten again and decided it was time to get back in gear and stop with the over eating. I had used another program that used calories as the base previously and decided that if counting calories worked for me before that it would work again. I started out with writing everything down in a food journal then one day couldn't find the nutritional info for a food so searched though my app store to try to find a calorie counter app and MFP showed up. I am loving how easy it is to track my food and exercise and am hopeful that the weight will come off and stay off this time! Luckily we have an elliptical because I am already having a hard time getting out for a walk with the recent snowfall and my town's desire to save money by not sanding or salting anything other then major intersections, it is very icy out there. :0
I look forward to getting to know you all.0 -
Dan here, obviously from NL originally but living in stoon, married with 1 kid. I started my journey about a year ago with the intent to just get back to a healthy weight and now am taking it much further than I had ever thought I would. The ultimate goal is a 6 pack which I have never had. I have posted many topics on here to help others shed the weight and am pretty well versed in the area of diet/exercise as I have invested a great deal of time into the topic. My gym of choice is shaw center and anyone on here is welcome to join me for a workout if they are in the area.0
