We do not all live five minutes from Disneyland.
We do not all live on a sunny beach.
Not all of us are airhead "Valley Girl" types.
We don't hang out with celebrities and movie stars all the time.
We are not all liberal politically.
Not everyone in the state can surf. Well, every day.
What others can you think of?

After spending 7 years in the south, I can agree with the above notions plus:
There is a considerable amount of country in CA
Afordability is relative no matter where you go
We don't all party 24/7
Most of us have descent-ish jobs (and we didn't blow our way to the top either)
A CA girls mission in life is NOT to steal all of the good southern boys (seriously folks, I heard that several times)

this thread is hysterical.
i had a friend from texas ask me if there are a lot of gangs here. apparently that's what they're told down there in the big ol state of texas.
I laughed and asked her if she has a lot of cows there..she said yes.
heh...so some stereotypes DO fit.
And my son plans to surf in the morning on friday and then head to the mountains in the afternoon to ski.
tell me how many states are there where you can say that?
I'm from California, and damn proud of it. :happy:0
